Cookies and analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics counts visits and which parts of the map are used, such as opening a region or country, switching the view, colours or theme, and searching. Search text is never sent, and no account or contact details are collected. Admin and sign-in pages are never measured.

Accepting sets two Google Analytics cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to 2 years. If you reject, or have not chosen yet, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice itself is kept only in this browser.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of the map and guide pages. Rejecting after accepting removes the Google Analytics cookies. For questions, use the links on the data and methodology page.
